September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month — a time to focus on prostate health, share valuable education, and encourage proactive steps like regular check-ups and open conversations about screening and treatment. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men, and early detection can save lives. For more information about prostate cancer, early detection, and ways to spread awareness, please pick up educational materials in the foyer or media rack, or visit www.cancer.org

September is Diaper Need Awareness Month

The Junior League of Baton Rouge Diaper Bank is making a difference for families in East Baton Rouge who struggle to afford diapers for their children.  Did you know that 1 in 2 families face challenges providing clean diapers?  While diapers are a basic need, they are not covered by SNAP or WIC, and no government program provides assistance.

To help meet this urgent need, the Health Care Ministry will be hosting a Diaper Drive throughout the month of September on behalf of the Junior League of Baton Rouge.

How You Can Help:

Please drop off diaper donations in the Junior League Diaper Bank barrels located here on the East & West wings.

Together, we can support families, spread compassion, and ensure every child has access to this essential need.

CHURCH MAIL SLOT

A secure mail slot is available on the door at the 37th street side entrance near the office. Please place all giving envelopes, money, or checks, except hospitality funds, in the mail slot or in a drop box located in the sanctuary.

Staff will only accept giving envelopes or money while in the church office (Monday-Friday).  We want to maintain the integrity of handling God’s resources.
