September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. This month is dedicated to raising awareness about prostate cancer and educating people about the disease. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men (after skin cancer), but it can often be treated successfully.
The American Cancer Society provides a comprehensive overview of prostate cancer, including risk factors, symptoms, how it is found, and how it is treated. They also offer a short, simple guide for those who have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. For more information about prostate cancer stop by the front entrance and pick up a copy off the table or go to https://www.cancer.org
Within our congregation, we have counselors and mental health educators committed to offering mental and emotional support to those in need. You may contact the church office for their information or connect with them directly.
